Nicole Jacot-Guillarmod was born and raised in NM and attended UNM where she graduated with a BA with an emphasis in Theatre.  The bug bit her early in life at age 6 where she started acting in elementary school.  She was in her 1st Melodrama play in the summer after 4th grade and continued from there through middle school and high school where she earned a “Best Supporting Actress” Award.    Through High School she attended modeling school and was in many shows earning a 1st Place Runway award, shows for Teen Magazine, Benefit for NM Aids Services, Benefit for Carrie Tingley Hosp., Mannequin, Face and Tearoom Modeling.   She got her first taste of filming in front of a camera for some local commercials during high school. This led her to auditioning, and receiving, small parts in movies filmed in Albuquerque. While attending UNM, she perfected her acting through many theatre shows throughout the Albuquerque area at UNM’s Rodey Theatre and Theatre X, Albuquerque Little Theatre, The Vortex, and Sol Arts Performance Space.  With her love and knowledge of Sign Language, she taught at East Mtn. High School for 2 years (having a play translated by her ASL II class) and participated in Sign Fest 2004 at UNM.  Just recently, she was Acting Director for her church play where she also had a significant role. For the past 4 years, Nicole is teaching another passion of hers.  She is a personal dance instructor, training students in Salsa, Bachata, Cha Cha, Merengue, Tango, Blues, Swing, and Country.

Amelia Teicher is thrilled to be involved with Sol Acting Academy.  She is in the process of attaining her BA in theatre, and has recently moved back to Albuquerque from Denver where she had multiple experiences teaching, directing, and working with youth, sharing her knowledge and passion for the theatre.  Amelia believes in creating a safe and open environment where through understanding, compassion, and guidance, she can support the students in their own process of discovery.  She has had various acting experiences through out high school, college, and community theatre, ranging from classical to modern, drama to comedy.  She focuses on the importance of the process while being in touch with the mind, body, and voice.  She is open and curious, using intuition and her own experiences to help facilitate growth in acting, teaching, and even life.
