How to Break Into the Movie Scene and Start Your Successful Career!!!
Saturday, June 2 from 10:00am-12:00pm
This class will be taught by Vivian Nesbitt, owner of Sol Acting Academy! Vivian will cover everything you need to know about how to break into the Film Industry successfully in New Mexico. Vivian will cover:
-How to find a Screen Actors Guild Franchised agent and what to expect.
-Who are the major casting directors in New Mexico and how do you contact them.
-What an actor’s resume should look like and what to put on it.
-Why a headshot is important and what your headshot should do for you.
-View examples of “sides” (actor’s audition materials), film scripts, and commercial copy and learn how to decode them for your best performance.
-How to find auditions for film, commercials, TV shows and even voice over work.
It’s the perfect workshop class for parents whose child has shown an interest in the film world or adults who want to make connections and get cast
but don’t feel like they know enough inside info to succeed. Please bring a pen and paper to capture all the valuable information we will cover in only two hours.
There will be an opportunity for questions to be answered after the presentation.
Ages: This class is open to ALL AGES; however, anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

June 11 – 15, 2012
9:00am – 4:00pm
So, you want to be in movies? This fun and very informative class offers it all! Learn how to set yourself up emotionally and physically for the camera. Learn and practice the skills that will make you feel you have done the best audition possible and increase your chances of booking the job! Teens will work on a new TV, commercial or film audition in every class, and will perform many “mock auditions.” Materials used in this class are current and specifically selected for each actor, using their type or look, different genre experiences, and character and emotional challenges.
This is for the teen who is ready to honestly work hard at honing their craft and adding a great amount of experience to their repertoire. Please, only teens ready to commit to learning need register! There will be short scripts to memorize every week. We will also discuss actor’s headshots, resumes, agents, and how to find auditions.
Taking this class more than once ensures mastery of the material. Plus, we always have new scripts and exercises! The last class is open to family and friends for a screening of our work!

PERFECT CAMP FOR TEENS LOOKING TO LEARN ALL ABOUT ACTING!!
July 9 – 13, 2012 9:00 am – 4:00pm
This class allows teens to explore all aspects of acting, from working on plays and scripts to creating their own character on stage. We will also learn lots of hilarious improv games you can teach your friends! The last class will be a show starring you for friends and family. Taking a class more than once ensures mastery and fun, since we always learn NEW GAMES and perform NEW SCRIPTS!! The last 30 minutes of class will be a show starring YOU for friends and family!

In this intensive one day class, teens do it all! Students will work on hilarious fun Improv games to sharpen their skills (Think “Whose Line is it Anyway”)! Spend a fast paced day working on essential skills for acting: thinking on your feet, imagination, and team work! In this class you will develop sketch comedy scenes of your very own to perform in the last half hour of class for a Special Show for friends and family, along with some of your favorite Improv games that you perfected!!

In this exciting week long camp, teens get to put into practice everything they have learned in their classes! They’ll learn to write the script, produce, direct and act in their own amazing original screenplay! This class pulls together all the acting skills they have been perfecting, along with learning important new skills that will give them a better understanding of what goes into making a movie! The last class will feature the Premier of this Movie, for family and friends complete with Red Carpet and paparrazzi photos! A professionally edited DVD is provided at the end of class for each student!
